2013 has almost gone

This year has been very good and funny, i met new people and I find new friends in those people.

This year my sentimental relationship has grown at all meaning; today I’m living with my boyfriend and one day I hope, we will get marry and have children too.

The situation that did not good so well was the group works because, I don’t know very well, but in some course of the university, I and my friends didn’t come to an agreement or we did come to an agreement a little.

My achievements in this year has been the learning and development in my career, because I had a practice in a very good kindergarten, so in that kindergarten I have learn more about children and how teach children too. In that practice, I have learn about how work with children´s parents too because in that kindergarten, children attend classes with their parents.

2013 has almost gone, but there is something that I have not done yet: I didn’t do a party in my home. My apartment is so small, and then I can’t do a party for that reason. But, my building has a swimming pool, so before 2013 finish, I´ll do a swimming pool party!

Mmm… I’m dreaming! My neighbors will kill me! So, when I have my own house with swimming pool, I’ll do a swimming pool party!

2013 has been a very good year, I have been so happy. I hope next year will be so good too.

Healthy food or French fries?

When I entered to university, I obtained a food scholarship, so I always ate fast food; I loved French fries, hamburgers and hot dogs. But suddenly, I started to feel so bad, I felt that my stomach was so heavy. Then I started to eat healthy because I am not a fat girl, but fast food could increase my cholesterol rate and this situation could shows in the future and could be so unhealthy.

Today, I always read the nutritional information on the foods, because I’m worry about salt and sugar amount. For that reason, I prefer to eat at home because at home I know exactly that food has. I like to cook but I don’t like wash the dishes!!! So, for special date, I like to go out for dinner or eat something. When I don’t want to wash the dishes, at weekends in general, I go out to some restaurant too.

Do you know “Don Benito”?

“Don Benito” is a traditional restaurant of Calera de Tango and offers different kinds of Chilean food. I like to eat “empanadas” and corncob pie. The food in this restaurant is so good and is not expensive, so when you don’t want to cook or wash the dishes, this restaurant is a great option.

I usually eat healthy, but for my birthday I eat French fries because is a tradition for me. My grandmother always has cooked French fries to me for my birthday, because I loved and I love eat French fries although French fries are unhealthy. 

MY CHILDHOOD DAYS

When i was a child, i didn’t understand that my name was, because when someone asked to me for my name I answered “Javiera Natalia Lucho Molina Barros”.  My name is Javiera Natalia Molina Barros, but my father’s name is Luis Molina and everybody call him “Lucho”, so when I said my name, I said my name plus my father’s name. My family laughed at me for that situation. After a short while, I could say my name in a correct way.

When I was 7, I started to go out to the street for playing with my little friends. I remember, after lunch until before my milk’s time I stayed on the street. It was so fun, because I still used feeding bottle for drinking milk, so when my mother called me, she said: “honey! It’s the milk’s time!” but she never said, “It’s the milk feeding bottle’s time” because it’s embarrassed me!

On the street with my best friend I learned how to ride a bicycle. I had my own bicycle, it was pink, but it was so big to me, so my friend’s bicycle it was perfect to me because it was smaller than my bicycle and it had small wheel.  Some time later, I could use my own bicycle without help from someone.

At the primary school, I was a good student because I got good marks and I did all my homework. But at the secondary school, i was a bad student because I started to get bad marks and I didn’t attend classes all the time.

My childhood was so good, I feel that in that time I was so happy with my family, my friends and my life’s experience.

I know a very green person...

He is so interest for the planet and its care. Every day, he classify blank paper, color paper, newspaper, magazine paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, organic material, glass bottles and fizzy drinks from the trash and put everything in different containers to take it then to a recycling center. So, he travels to Santiago by bicycle, because he thinks that Santiago is a very crowded and contaminated city. He always says: “we must to travel by bicycle and do more recycling, so with this way our planet could be in better conditions” and when he is separating things that it could be recycling from trash he says: “I do this for my sons”

He is my boyfriend, and for him I have learned everything about those habits. So now, I think that recycling is very important, but not recycling only, reduce pollution too. I’m on the right path to take care of our planet, but, could I do more things? I believe that the answer is yes! So, I pretend to know soon.

Just now, I will try to follow in this attitude with my boyfriend. We hope, one day, everybody recycling and take care of our planet too.

So, when I talk with my boyfriend and end the conversation, we conclude that we would like to know about new ways to help ecosystem because it’s in our hands.

Sweet addiction

When I was 20, my parents gave a computer to me. It was incredible because everybody had one except me. at that time, I knew about video games and I thought that video games were great but I had never played so much. Sometimes, I played games from facebook, but nothing very sophisticated.

I have always prefered to talk with my people face to face, play in a park with my nephews or do aerobics but one day, my friend Valeria showed me a particular game: candy crush saga. I remember, I saying to her “it’s so boring!”  But now, I play it every week!

Candy crush saga is a very popular game that you can find in facebook. So, when you are playing this game, facebook shows your activity to your friends and everybody knows that you are playing candy crash at that moment. So, when i am playing my friends start to say to me “you are so vicious!” but I think that, if I play a few times a week I’m not hooked on this video game! I have never forgotten to do my homework, share with my friends and my family face to face or eat something and I always sleep eight hours a day.

From my point of view, playing video games is not a waste of time or something unhealthy if you don’t neglect your responsibilities, share with your family and friends face to face and lead a normal life.

What's the point of school uniform?

This article is about the use of school uniform. The author explains that “wearing a uniform is a badge of pride, creates an identity for a school and is an important part of being a school student”.

This article show that majority of people likes or prefer use school uniform because uniforms represent and “show that you are part of an organization” and another people think that uniform give to schoolchild a “sense of belonging to a particular school and create an identity for the school in the community”, also, uniform “can improve learning by reducing distraction, sharpening focus on schoolwork and making the classroom a more serious environment, allowing students to perform better academically”. But, the most important idea that this article show is that school uniform reduce peer pressure because “when everyone is dressed the same, worrying about what you look like isn't so important”. A year eight student explain the reason that she prefers use school uniform: “I like uniforms because everyone is the same and no one can be left out by the way they are dressed”.

Finally, uniform are not the most pretty kind of dress but it meet the necessary requirement to do school life more easy.

MY HOT DOGS STAND???

I love my career, I love to study education, but I have always thought that I want to have my own business.

When I was a child, I wanted to sell hot dogs because i believed that it is so fun and easy: all I need was a hot dog stand and that´s it!!!

Now, I’m studying education and I’m reconsidering my ideas. I still want to have my own business, but education is not a business!!! Then, I would like to have my own kindergarten and there I could put into practice all the things that I have learned about good education, and this way, provide society with something useful and beneficial.

If I want to have my own kindergarten, I need to study so much, only this way, I could acquire the necessary abilities, but acquiring the necessary abilities is not what I need, because to do this project I need money and I hope that one day I’ll have a enough or someone who can offer me some help.

This would be my ideal job, but if I don’t get to work on that, I would be happy as well, working only as a nursery school teacher, or perhaps, with my hot dog stand!!!

My grandfather and me

When I was a little girl, I watched TV every day. After school, I arrived home and I watched TV all afternoon. I loved watch anime. My favourite anime was Dragon Ball saga. It was typical; when I watched Dragon Ball, I ate something, in general a piece of chocolate or fruit.

I loved to do this every day, because I did not watch TV alone, I watched TV with my grandfather. Both, he and me, enjoyed and laughed together. Dragon Ball saga was an anime that showed extra-terrestrial people. Goku was the principal and he and him friends tried to save the world from possible threaten. It was so funny, because him enemies never died!!! Well, they died but always came back to life again!

My grandfather and I enjoyed this situation because it was unbelievable.

Today, I don’t watch TV every day, I must study so much and besides, I live with my boyfriend. But when I stay in front of my computer, I go to youtube.com and I watch Dragon Ball videos and I remember the past time.

No photos! Please!

When I was a child, I did not like to take a photograph of me, because I deformed myself for the nerves. It was horrible, because my parents told me “Say whiskey!” “Look at the camera!” “Smile!” and when I tried to smile and pose to the picture I could do it. Only I could say is “No photos! Please!!!”

Now, I grew up and I love take pictures. This is my favorite photograph.

This picture was take with the timer on February 14^th, 2012, and shows the first Valentine`s day in our new apartment.

I love this photo, first, because we look so happy and we were so happy in that moment. Second, the picture shows how our apartment was in this time and now we can see the different, changes and progress in our home. Our curtain was so horrible!

This photograph is very important to me; I use it like wallpaper in my computer, my phone cell, my tablet, everywhere I can. i do not tired of see it!

Dreams can come true

When I am sleep on my bed many dreams come to me and show me incredible things; sometimes, I dream of dead, love, problems or magic situations.

So much times, I cant remember all the images or episodes of my dreams but when I awake I can feel how I feel when I was sleep and I don’t know why is the reason.

 I prefer dream when I am awake. I think that is not a waste of time because when you let your mind wondered or let the soul take fly, the most incredible ideas appear and it could change your life. One day, I dreamt of family and marry with a good guy; I dreamt of raise my own family. It was beautiful, since that moment I think about it is possible and so soon. Today, I am engaged with a person who dreams with a family like me and it is one of the reasons that we work every day.

We are sure that the dream can come true…

My Favourite Piece of tecnology is….

A hair remover!!! It is incredible because resolves one of the women problems: unwanted hair.

I have one; I got it when my mom gave it to me for my 13^th birthday. Since that moment, depilate is not a problem to me because I have to connect to electricity and is enough. The first times that I used it, I felt pain, so much pain because hair is removes from its root, but now I don’t feel pain, I am accustomed to use a hair remover regularly on summer and spring, for this reason the pain disappeared. In winter or autumn I use hair remover not very often.

If I didn’t have a hair remover, my life would be a little more complicated because I must to depilate with wax in a beauty center and I don’t pleasure with that situation because I don’t like that other person or woman see my legs hair. 

Maria Montessori

Maria Montessori was born in Italy on august 31th, 1870. She studied engineering, biology, anthropology, philosophy and she was the first woman that obtained the medicine degree in Italy. When the economic crisis affected your country, she started to take an interest in conditions of society, especially conditions of women and children.

I really admire Maria Montessori because she was interesting in children and their development. She thought that children have many abilities to learn and she believed they will change the society and the world. In Italy, she founded a children home and she taught children to behave well and they did their works alone. Your methodology consisted in deliver to children dignity, liberty and independence.

Maria Montessori wrote many books about your pedagogy methodology, some of them: “Peace and education”, “The secret of childhood” and “The Montessori methodology”.

Iron Maiden will come back to Santiago this year!!!!

In 2008, Iron Maiden came to Santiago, Chile and played in the Club Hípico. The concert was called “somewhere back in time” and the band played all their best songs. I was 19 by then and it was the first time that I had been to a concert. The show was great, the best part was when the band played “Fear of the Dark”, I love this song and I loved this moment, for this reason my blog was named after this tune. In this occasion, my sister was pregnant and she went to the concert with me. We were far from the rest of the public to take care of her and her baby.

This year, iron maiden will comes back to Santiago and they will play in the Estadio Nacional. I bought my ticket and I am looking forward to October 2th, when the heavy metal will sound loud.

1 biography

                      My life and my decisions

I was born in 1988 in santiago of chile, and i grew up in maipú, a little town near to Santiago.  I went to Sofia Infantes School and I had many friends. I still remember when we played together in the playground. When I was young, I studied in Javiera Carrera High school and i discovered my love for the chemistry. I believed that the chemistry was my reason for work every day, but in 2007, when I started to study chemistry engineering at the University of Santiago, I hate it so much!!! A few years later, my nephew was born and I felt that my destiny tried to tell me something, because I loved when my little nephew played with me. I took courage and I left my career and I decided to study to be a nursery. Today I am a very happy student.
